Description
The TECNA 3155 is a 53 kVA single-phase AC scissor-type (X-type) suspended weld gun with air-operated actuation, built for production spot welding. It delivers a maximum welding current of 26,000 amps, with electrode force from 1,922 lbs (855 daN) on the shortest arm down to 550 lbs (245 daN) at full 40.55 in. (1030 mm) reach (8 bar). The 3155 is the separate-control version, operated by a standalone TE560 control unit (Art. 1253/1254); its built-in-control twin is the 3154.
Features
- 53 kVA single-phase AC transformer with water-cooled, epoxy-resin-coated windings (ISO 5826).
- Separate TE560 microprocessor weld control (Art. 1253/1254): 250 weld programs, constant-current mode, pre-weld/slope/pulse/post-weld functions.
- Gyro suspension on sealed bearings with rotation lock for accurate maneuverability with a TECNA balancer.
- Long 10.04–40.55 in. (255–1030 mm) arm range; adjustable working stroke plus temporary extra (retraction) stroke for hard-to-reach welds.
- Fully water-cooled copper secondary; lube-free chromium-plated cylinder and shaft; cooling-circuit valves for easy electrode changes.
- Supplied with earth-leakage switch (30 mA); ground-fault unit available on request.
- Recommended balancer: TECNA 9414.
Installation Requirements
- US stock supply: 440 V / 60 Hz (400 V / 50 Hz on request).
- Delayed fuses 100 A; cable section 0.04 in² (25 mm²) at L=30 m.
- Compressed air: 116 psi (8 bar); consumption 5/11 Nm³ per 1000 spots (short/long stroke).
- Water cooling: 127 gal/h (480 l/h).
- Net weight 172 lbs (78 kg) with cables, hoses, and suspension, without arms.
