Description
The TECNA 2954 is TECNA’s most powerful servo robot spot welding gun — a 160 kVA heavy-duty X-type designed for welding aluminum parts in automotive production. It is powered by a 160 kVA medium-frequency (MFDC / inverter) transformer and driven by a third-party inverted roller-screw servo actuator (EXLAR GSX40 or GTW100, 3000 rpm) for precise, programmable force control across virtually unlimited configurations. The gun delivers a maximum welding current of 42,000 amps and a maximum electrode force of 2,023 lbs (900 daN) on the 17.72 in. (450 mm) arm. Water-cooled construction supports continuous heavy-duty robotic duty.
Features
- Heavy-duty X-type (scissor) robot spot welding gun — TECNA’s most powerful servo gun, for aluminum automotive welding.
- 160 kVA medium-frequency (MFDC / inverter) transformer; supplied with a US 480 V / 60 Hz unit, with a 400 V / 50 Hz unit also available.
- Third-party inverted roller-screw servo actuator, available as an EXLAR GSX40 (8.89 Nm) or EXLAR GTW100 (12.23 Nm), both at 3000 rpm.
- Maximum welding current of 42,000 amps; maximum electrode force 2,023 lbs (900 daN).
- Configurable arm lengths of 17.72 in. (450 mm) and 23.62 in. (600 mm); electrode force varies by arm length and actuator.
- Water-cooled for continuous heavy-duty robotic duty (8.81 l/min).
Installation Requirements
- Inverter supply: 635 V / 1000 Hz (US 480 V/60 Hz transformer) or 500 V / 1000 Hz (400 V/50 Hz), fed from a TECNA MF inverter.
- Gun weight: 330.69 lbs (150 kg); 160 kVA transformer 70.11 lbs (31.8 kg).
