Floor-Mounted Jib Crane Welding Gun Suspension System

Floor-mounted jib crane for suspending portable spot welding guns with full three-axis movement over a circular work area. Capacity up to 1,000 lbs; standard spans to 16 ft with 360-degree rotation. Most units bolt directly to existing floors.

Description

The floor-mounted jib crane suspends a portable spot welding gun over a circular work area. The boom rotates a full 360 degrees around the mast while a trolley travels along the boom; paired with a properly sized tool balancer, the system delivers fluid movement through all three axes of motion. Capacity reaches up to 1,000 lbs with standard spans to 16 ft, and the crane is designed to support tool balancers, air balancers, vacuum lifters, and hoists.

A bridge rail is preferable for moving heavier loads around a workstation, but a jib crane is often the best fit where ceiling obstructions prevent installation of a ceiling-mounted bridge rail and the need to keep the floor clear rules out a floor-mounted bridge rail’s runway supports — the jib requires only a single mast at the center of its coverage circle.
