Description
The TECNA 6023FA pairs a 40 kVA medium-frequency DC (MFDC / inverter) transformer with air-operated, linear-action actuation in a press-type spot welder configuration. The 6023FA provides a maximum welding power of 85 kVA and a maximum short-circuit current of 19,000 amps. Maximum electrode force is 674 lbs at its 19.69 in. throat depth, with a 2.36 in. (60 mm) double stroke. The FA variant designation indicates this welder ships with the TE700 microprocessor weld control in place of the standard TE751 found on the F variant. MFDC inverter technology offers significant advantages over single-phase AC, including faster weld cycles, balanced three-phase mains loading, lower energy consumption, and improved weld quality on coated and dissimilar materials. A water-cooled transformer, electrode holders, and electrodes support extended duty cycles.
