Description
The TECNA 9359G is a stainless steel cable zero-gravity balancer for tool suspension. Unlike a retractor, a zero-gravity balancer holds the suspended load at whatever height the operator leaves it — once set, the load remains stationary at the released position rather than returning to a rest height. The 9359G carries a load capacity of 48.5–55.12 lbs (22–25 kg) over a working stroke of 78.74 in. (2000 mm), with a stainless steel rope and cast aluminum body with a shock-absorbent rubber coating (version G) running on a tapered drum and ball bearings. Capacity is adjustable by means of a worm screw, and an adjustable stroke limiting device sets the working range to the application. Version .F adds a friction/brake that controls drum rotation speed; this version is configured at time of order and cannot be retrofitted to installed units. Version G adds a shock-absorbent rubber coating to the housing for impact protection.
Features
- Ribbed and sealed construction in cast aluminum alloy with shock-absorbent rubber coating (version G).
- Stainless steel rope.
- Load capacity of 48.5–55.12 lbs (22–25 kg); working stroke of 78.74 in. (2000 mm).
- Adjustable capacity by means of a worm screw.
- Safety suspension.
- Safety device blocks the load if the spring fails (standard on capacities >3 kg).
- Upper rotary suspension with safety hook.
- Locking device blocks the load at any height in the stroke.
- Adjustable stroke limiting device.
- Tapered drum rotating on ball bearings.
- Cable guide in antifriction material.
- Rotary upper hook with ball bearing.
- Inert spring drum assembly.
- Available as version .F — equipped with a friction/brake that controls drum rotation speed (configured at time of order; cannot be retrofitted).
- Optional accessory: rotary insulating device (Option RI, art. 70477) — swivel hook providing 360° rotation and electrical isolation of the hook area.
- Optional accessory: protective rubber guard — prolongs balancer service life by protecting against bumps and dings.
